The kite festival has been held in Portsmouth for the past couple of years and as you can see from the photo above the sky ends up full of kites. There are opportunities to see some large and unusual types of kite at the festival. If you feel like taking up Kite flying then there are many stalls selling all types of kite or if you just want to watch people fly them then there are many to watch.

This is held on Southsea Common and there are often demonstrations given for people to watch.
