The 53ft tall and 72ft long Ultrasaurus replica came to Southsea Common on 31st July 2010 and can be seen from miles around. The dinosaur the sculpture represents did not really exist, it was once thought to be the largest dinosaur until scientists realised the bones discovered were from two different species. The dinosaur is called Luna Park and comprises of a steel skeleton with polyester shell and was transported almost 2,000 miles to Portsmouth. The Dinosaur can be seen from as far away as the Isle Of Wight and will be on the common until 10th October 2010 and was made by a team of Serbian car factory workers, Ivan and Heather Morison.
